What is Dented? Where did it come from? What is its purpose?
DENTED is one of over thirty thematic network projects (TNPs) funded by the European Union's Directorate on Education and Culture.
The other TNPs cover such diverse areas as humanities, sport, sciences, medicine, architecture, ethics, physics, agriculture, political science and many more. These networks promote educational and cultural co-operation and act to link the diverse and disparate institutions involved in the particular discipline. It acts to disseminate good practice, promote practical partnerships and provide a forum for debate and exchange. Dissemination of information is central to the working of a Thematic Network. DENTED has been selected to represent Dental Education and we ask all interested in promoting higher standards in dentistry and particularly dental education to participate in and support our activities.
DENTED is closely linked to the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) as well as many other associations and already includes over fifty dental schools. The network is rapidly expanding and relies heavily on its web page for exchange of information.
